Yes. For local moves, to avoid a forfeit of your deposit, you must cancel within 7 days of the contracted date. For long-distance moves, customers must cancel within 14 days of the contracted date of services to be rendered.

Yes, there is a $250 deposit for local moves. For long-distance moves, there is a 10% deposit .

For Local Moves: Unless otherwise arranged, payment for local moves are based on the time and mileage involved. Time and mileage are computed from our office in Poland, ME.

For Long-Distance Moves: You will be given a Binding Estimate in writing. 

PLEASE NOTE: It’s very rare for possible charges not to be included in the Binding Estimate. Some examples of what might not be included, but for which you will be charged (in rough order of probability) include:

Items not on the original inventory list

Shuttle service

Disassembly and reassembly 

Packing or unpacking

Areas not accessible by a permanent staircase

Areas not adequately lighted

Areas without a flat contiguous floor or requiring a stooping posture

Ferry charges

Waiting time

Debris removal

Hoisting

Removal of items embedded in the ground or secured to the building

*When applicable, you agree to accept an estimate absent from our actual inspection of your premises. 

Local Moves : Unless otherwise arranged, payments for local moves are due at the end of the job, although we reserve the right to require cash payments before unloading. In general, payments can be made by cash or credit card. If you wish to pay by credit card, please let us know before your move. 

Long-distance Moves: Payment is due by cash, credit card, or cashier’s check before unloading.

Labor only: Payment for loading rental trucks or self-moving containers is due in cash, credit card, or cashier’s check.

Tips are greatly appreciated, but not required. As with other service industries, you may wish to thank your movers by offering a gratuity if they do a wonderful job. Keep in mind that gratuity is not expected but is certainly appreciated.
